Dear Manchester Physio,
May I take this opportunity to commend the service that I am receiving from your Stockport based Physiotherapist, Nicky.
I have had serious trouble with my right ankle following an accident which has needed an operation to the tendons and ligaments called a Christmans Snook. This has been very invasive and problematic.
My surgery was in April 2013 and I started weekly NHS physiotherapy on 5th July 2013. My NHS Physiotherapy at best has been terrible, I have seen many physiotherapists here, so there has been no continuity to my treatment, I have attended an ankle rehabilitation course which was very poorly run and I got discharged from the NHS whilst still having problems with fluid, my core strength and proprioception. At one point, when I asked the NHS physiotherapist a question regarding something that I didn’t understand I was told to” google it”.
I have seen Nicky in Stockport now only four times and on every occasion I have received very professional hands on physiotherapy to deal with trigger point areas and to reduce swelling plus clear advice on my home rehabilitation and exercises.
I am now managing to strengthen my muscles and my core stability.
Nicky is always happy, supportive, understanding and she is very knowledgeable.
I have progressed more in these four sessions with Nicky than what I have in the past seven months with my NHS physiotherapy. I always leave Nicky knowing what we will be working on in the following session which gives me clear direction and understanding.
I find that people are happy to criticise yet rarely to praise so I would be grateful if you would pass on this praise to Nicky to thank her for all of her hard work.
Kindest regards
